The kids in the band made Charlie, the Papa 'Possum’ (say that three times in a row), a T-shirt for Christmas that said, "Instrument Sherpa".  He is also the guy who feeds the band following the gig.  Charlie is our sound guy, a role he loves except when the amplifier quits working (case in point--the Thanksgiving dance in Charlottesville, an experience from which he still hasn't recovered.  But not to worry; he has found a bigger and better amp and he's moving on.)  The best thing about Charlie .. he's the family band's greatest supporter and fan, and he drives a really big Suburban.
